Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Compounder to accurately weigh all ingredients specified in formulations, ensuring correctness in code numbers, lot numbers, description of ingredients, and weights. The role involves maintaining precise inventory control of materials, including lot numbers, warehouse locations, and expiration dates. You will be responsible for manufacturing products according to special instructions, which may include mixing, heating, filtering, and following specific step sequences. Adherence to approved manufacturing protocols, record-keeping, and methods of operation is essential.
Responsibilities
- Weigh all ingredients accurately as per formulation specifications.
- Maintain accurate inventory control of all materials, recording lot numbers, warehouse locations, and expiration dates.
- Manufacture products following special instructions, including mixing, heating, and filtering.
- Adhere to approved manufacturing protocols, including Standard Operating Procedures, site regulations, and departmental rules.
- Handle all fragrance materials safely, including those that are wet, dry, viscous, flammable, hot, and hazardous.
- Operate within cGMP, safety, allergen, SSOP, SQF, Kosher, Halal, and ISO guidelines.
- Attend annual refresher food safety training.
- Participate in on-site annual competency testing.
- Maintain the standards of SQF, ISO 9001:2015, and EFfCI.
Essential Skills
- 2 years of industry experience in a similar role.
- Mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Ability to convert English units of weight and volume to metric units.
- Ability to read and comprehend safety labels, manufacturing instructions, and safety data sheets.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Problem-solving skills for dealing with concrete variables.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous compounding experience is preferred.
- Batch making experience is advantageous.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Middletown, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
