Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Labor Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring certified payroll records, managing subcontractor setups, and ensuring compliance with labor requirements using LCPtracker. Your contributions will be crucial in maintaining our high standards of compliance and supporting the overall success of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Actively monitor Certified Payroll Records on a weekly basis and review subcontractor submissions into the Labor Compliance platform (LCPtracker).
- Review Certified Payroll Reports in LCPtracker, confirm receipt of all required documentation, notify subcontractors of deficiencies, alert field teams of non-compliance, and recommend withholding payments if necessary.
- Manage subcontractor setup process in the labor compliance platform, issue welcome packets outlining compliance requirements, and assign subcontractors to projects.
- Assist with drafting site-specific Project Determination Summaries.
- Identify and coordinate the creation or update of wage tables in LCPtracker and assign them to projects.
- Assist with adding new users to LCPtracker.
- Oversee the Labor Compliance general email inbox, respond to subcontractor inquiries, and assign emails to team members as needed.
- Act as a liaison between 3rd party consultants, subcontractors, and the Labor Compliance Team.
- Maintain a subcontractor compliance log for each project to track labor compliance.
- Resolve certified payroll reporting inquiries from internal and external clients.
- Assist with external certified payroll audits and other 3rd party requests.
- Attend compliance meetings and training sessions focused on IRA Bill compliance, DOL payroll training, and apprenticeship requirements.
- Understand contractual obligations to effectively audit incoming certified payroll documents.
- Provide monthly compliance summaries for each project to validate 3rd party consultant invoices.
- Experience in certified payroll, internal audit, and federal compliance.
- Knowledge of federal funding and data analytics.
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, IRA compliance, and construction compliance.
- 2-5 years of experience in internal auditing or compliance in any industry.
- Strong interest in labor compliance.
- Bachelor's or master's degree highly preferred.
- Willing to consider candidates with less than a bachelor's degree who demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities.
The role requires 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Tuesdays are mandatory in-office days for team meetings. The manager offers flexibility to work 2 days in the office once trust is established.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Washington, DC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
