Cnc Programmer

This position involves developing and writing programs for CNC machines using engineering specifications and drawings. The role requires reviewing engineering drawings to define part configurations and determine the sequence of machine operations. You will be responsible for selecting appropriate cutters considering speeds, types of cutters, feeds, and control system limitations. The position contributes to solving technical problems to ensure deadlines are met and involves developing programs for machining parts, tools, or sheet metal on CNC machine tools.

• Develop and write CNC programs using engineering specifications and drawings.
• Review engineering drawings to define part configurations and machine operation sequences.
• Select appropriate cutters, considering speeds, types of cutters, feeds, and control system limitations.
• Develop solutions to technical problems to meet deadlines.
• Participate in determining program routines for efficient calculation of dimensional and machining requirements.
• Test and modify existing parts programs for engineering changes or improvements.
• Prepare department documentation, including operational instructions and standard procedures.
• Serve as the primary contact with suppliers and vendors.
• Provide guidance to less experienced professional staff.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and obligations during business operations.
• Work safely according to established procedures and practices.

• Bachelor's degree in computer programming or a related field with 5 years of progressive CNC programming experience.
• In lieu of education, 11 years of programming experience may be substituted.
• Aerospace CNC programming experience is required.
• Experience with complex parts is required.
• Understanding of CNC application principles, theories, and concepts.
• Leadership skills in organizing, scheduling, and coordinating work assignments.

• Software experience with NX or willingness to train with equivalent experience.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects.
• Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to guide employees.

Work is onsite, with hours from 6 AM to 4 PM, five days a week. The position is based in Tupelo, with relocation available for the right candidate, although local candidates are preferred. The role requires the ability to work independently or in a team environment, with extended hours and travel as necessary.

This is a Permanent position based out of Shannon, MS.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $1200000.00/yr.

Retirement Plans PENSION PLAN For eligible employees, the Company provides monthly lifetime income at retirement through the pension plan. The plan is provided at no cost to employees. Benefits become vested after 3 years of service. The monthly benefit amount gets larger for each year that you work for the Company. For example, a mid-career hire who works for the Company could receive an average of the amounts below per month for life, beginning at age 65. The actual amount is dependent on hire age, future salary increases, and future pension trust investment returns. 401(k) RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN The Company’s 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan allows eligible employees to contribute from 1% to 50% of their salary to the Plan on any combination of pre-tax, Roth 401(k), or after-tax basis. The Company matches 50% of those contributions up to 8% of eligible compensation. Company matching contributions become vested incrementally over 5 years of service. The schedule results in every other Friday being a day off. Other work schedules may apply based on business needs.
