Job Title: CNC Design Engineer
Location: Highland, NY
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Range: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and multi-axis machining operations.
- Operate and maintain CNC Machines, Turret Punch Press Machines, and Milling Machines.
- Interpret and translate 3D CAD models and technical drawings into executable CNC instructions using CAM software.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of components and systems.
- Conduct test runs and troubleshoot machining issues, modifying programs to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform proper setup and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories used on projects.
- Design and model prototypes using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar platforms.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes and tooling design.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Technical Diplomas or Certifications will also be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC programming and mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Mastercam.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, machining tolerances, and material properties.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with FEA tools and simulation platforms is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
