Clinical Mass Spectrometry Technician

Job Description

The Clinical Mass Spectrometry Technician performs complex analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to support health care providers in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating patients. Working in specialized clinical laboratories, this role uses highly skilled manual techniques and advanced automated instrumentation, including HPLC, LC/MS/MS, and GC/MS. The technician operates and maintains sophisticated equipment, troubleshoots assays, evaluates test accuracy, assists with interpreting results, and provides operational support to optimize testing workflows. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols when working with infectious specimens, chemicals, and other laboratory hazards, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and evolving environment with multiple computer systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred (will consider candidates with other degrees if they have ample undergraduate chemistry-based research)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, MN.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Rochester,MN.
