Job Description

We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Professional Engineer for our office in Crown Point. This role offers an excellent career opportunity for a multi-talented and creative engineer interested in solving complex water/wastewater engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Engage in all phases of municipal water and wastewater treatment process design, including conceptual and feasibility evaluations.
• Prepare design reports and develop contract documents.
• Provide bidding assistance and support construction engineering services.
• Participate in projects that involve designing water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems for municipal clients across Indiana.
• Engage in stormwater and transportation engineering work as needed.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline is required; a Master’s or Ph.D. is a plus.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in Indiana or the ability to obtain reciprocity.
• Experience in water/wastewater engineering treatment process/plant design for drinking water and/or wastewater.
• Experience in hydraulic engineering, including planning and design of pump stations, collection systems, and distribution systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in team environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working for a civil consulting firm is advantageous.
• Experience with treatment plant modeling software such as GPS-X and Visual Hydraulics.
• Ability to serve as a mentor to junior team members.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with software such as GPS-X, Visual Hydraulics, and Civil 3D.

Work Environment

The office environment is laid back yet can be deadline-intensive at times. We value a family feel and a strong team atmosphere. The dress code is business casual. The standard working hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to start as early as 7 AM or as late as 9 AM. Engineers may work a schedule of Monday to Thursday for nine hours and four hours on Friday, leaving at lunchtime. Relocation is supported through a sign-on bonus. This is a Permanent position based out of Crown Point, IN.

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $180000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Crown Point,IN.
