Job Title: Civil Engineer (Entry‑Level / Early Career)

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join a collaborative and supportive project team focused on water resources and sustainable water/wastewater infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a early‑career engineer (0–3 years) who is eager to learn, grow technically, and make a meaningful impact on communities and industries.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers in a team‑based environment that values mentorship, flexibility, and long‑term professional development.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform engineering assignments using standard techniques, procedures, and design criteria
• Work under the guidance of a Project Manager or Professional Engineer
• Support a variety of engineering tasks including:
  • Field work and site inspections
  • Engineering reports and technical documentation
  • Permitting and agency coordination
  • Construction engineering support
  • Simple design calculations and plan development
• Review construction drawings and specifications
• Coordinate with contractors during project execution
• Communicate with local, state, and federal agencies regarding permits and approvals

Projects and Technical Exposure

• Water and wastewater infrastructure
• Stormwater and drainage systems
• Civil site design and grading
• Sustainable infrastructure solutions for municipalities and industry

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental / Ecological Engineering
• 0–3 years of civil engineering experience, ideally in:
  • Water/Wastewater
  • Stormwater / Drainage
  • Transportation
  • Civil site development
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D / AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Understanding of drainage, grading, and basic civil design concepts
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a team environment

Preferred (But Not Required)

• Master’s degree
• FE / EIT certification
• 1 year of Water/Wastewater design experience

• Flexible scheduling:
  • Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Optional start times as early as 7:00 AM or as late as 9:00 AM

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Evansville, IN.

The pay range for this position is $35.58 - $36.54/hr.
