Chemistry Lab Technician

The QO Lab Analyst position operates in a fast-paced, customer-oriented team laboratory environment, analyzing raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials, APIs, utilities, and/or finished product samples to support the company's quality program.

Responsibilities

• Perform, document, record checks, and troubleshoot qualitative or quantitative assays on samples using both standard laboratory equipment and modern automated instrumentation.
• Participate in manufacturing quality control support, such as cleaning verification.
• Interpret and evaluate data for accuracy, precision, trends, and potential GMP impact, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
• Maintain high productivity and multi-task with a low error rate and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate flexibility and engagement in a changing environment, ensuring good laboratory technique to prevent cross-contamination or misidentification of samples.
• Comprehend and perform routine and non-routine analyses from compendial and internal sources.
• Train others as skills and knowledge allow.
• Participate in laboratory investigations as required.
• Write routine assay protocols or conduct assay, process, or instrument qualifications.
• Exhibit the ability to quickly learn new skills and techniques.

• Proficiency in at least one high complexity technology (e.g., HPLC, uHPLC, GC, advanced spectroscopy) or two or more low to medium complexity technologies (e.g., TLC, titrations, wet chemistry/physical testing, water testing).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good laboratory technique to avoid cross-contamination or misidentification of samples.

• AAS, BA/BS, or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience in Quality Operations preferred.
• Experience with HPLC is advantageous.
• Ability to lift occasionally (less than 35 lbs), reach, and sit while working at a computer terminal.
• Candidate must not be sensitive to Cephalosporin/Penicillin.

This is a lab-based role in a dynamic and evolving environment. The position requires working with various technologies and equipment, ensuring that tasks are completed with precision and accuracy. The work may involve sitting at a computer terminal and occasional lifting.

This is a Contract position based out of Comstock, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
