Chemistry Analyst (Bioanalytical)

Job Description
As an Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting biological extractions on samples such as urine, blood, and plasma. Initially, your focus will be on wet lab extractions, progressing to LC-MS (HPLC-Mass Spec) techniques after six months. You will also handle robotics for liquid processing and work with laboratory equipment such as balances, pH meters, and pipettes. The role involves using the eWorkbook software, with each chemist equipped with a tablet.
Responsibilities
- Perform biological extractions on various samples including urine, blood, and plasma.
- Focus on wet lab extractions initially, transitioning to LC-MS methods after six months.
- Utilize robotics for liquid handling processes.
- Operate laboratory equipment such as balances, pH meters, and pipettes.
- Use eWorkbook software for documentation and analysis.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related Life Science field.
- 1 year of academic or research experience in chemistry ideal.
- Experience with HPLC, LC-MS, or Mass Spec techniques from college ideal.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Client-facing experience such as food service or bartending is beneficial due to the fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- High ownership of work, with a focus on recognizing errors and implementing future changes.
Work Environment
The position is based in a lab setting within the Bioanalytical team, consisting of approximately 100 employees. The work is primarily lab-focused, and the team operates under established protocols.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
