Job Description

This role involves conducting routine testing on API samples using various chemistry techniques, including UV-VIS, titrations, LOD, pH, and physical testing. The individual will also be responsible for general lab upkeep and will work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-oriented team GMP laboratory environment to analyze samples in support of the company’s quality program in an analytical laboratory. Additionally, the role includes performing equipment verification and calibration in accordance with appropriate procedures, supporting the testing of GMP processes across the production site, and adhering to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine testing on API samples using various chemistry techniques such as UV-VIS, titrations, LOD, pH, and physical testing.
• Maintain general laboratory upkeep.
• Analyze samples in support of the company’s quality program within a GMP laboratory environment.
• Perform equipment verification and calibration in accordance with appropriate procedures.
• Support the testing of GMP processes across the production site.
• Adhere to safe work practices, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment such as lab coat, safety glasses, respirator as needed, and gloves.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science discipline (Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with FDA regulations.
• Experience with GC-MS, UV-VIS, and pH testing techniques.
• Experience in pharmaceutical testing and quality control.
• Strong understanding of chemistry, laboratory practices, and GMP, GLP standards.

Work Environment

The position is located in a standard lab environment regulated by cGMP and FDA standards. The team comprises a mix of new hires and experienced professionals, so the ability to collaborate with people at various levels is essential. The role is an individual contributor within a team, with daily team meetings to discuss goals and assignments. Training involves working side-by-side with an Analyst or Scientist, starting with shadowing and gradually moving to independent work upon demonstration of competency. The lab processes samples from manufacturing with turnaround times between 2 and 24 hours

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
