Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and safety of our chemical products by adhering to ISO9001 standards and effectively managing product specifications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing safety topics, chairing weekly safety meetings, and maintaining quality control in our laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Prepare safety topics and chair weekly safety meetings.
- Mix and blend products by accurately measuring samples according to the scale.
- Ensure product quality and adherence to ISO9001 standards.
- Cover any required testing areas in the lab as needed.
- Monitor sample status in the QC Database and release product results as necessary.
- Identify and communicate personnel issues to the Manager.
- Recommend corrective actions to address errors such as missing labels, incorrect information, or erroneous data.
- Enter and maintain customer and product specifications in the quality management system.
- Validate Certificates of Analysis and ensure correct specifications are in place.
- Monitor and resolve raw material specification issues in quality inspection.
Essential Skills
- Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
- Manufacturing experience in flavor, fragrance, or specialty chemicals.
- Proficiency in chemical testing.
- Knowledge in wet chemistry and raw materials.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edison, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
