Certified Pharmacy Technician (100% Remote)
As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will evaluate and authorize approval of commercial prior authorization pharmacy requests from prescribers using clinical criteria in a call center environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and authorize approval of pharmacy requests based on clinical criteria, documenting prior authorization outcomes and communicating pharmacy benefit coverage and formulary alternatives.
- Determine the appropriateness of medications and communicate decisions to physicians, office staff, medical management, and pharmacists.
- Escalate requests requiring extensive clinical review to a pharmacist following clear guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- State registration/license
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification required (PTCB or NHA).
- 1 years of experience in retail or call center pharmacy environment
Work Environment
This is a 100% remote position.
The role involves 8-hour shifts between 7:15am CST - 9 pm CST, 5 days a week.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
