Certified Medical Assistant

Job Description

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for rooming patients and preparing rooms for patient visits. They will also collect information from patients and enter data into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for examination
• Record patient history, vital signs, and other relevant information
• Assist with medical procedures and examinations
• Administer injections or medications as directed by a physician
• Schedule appointments and manage patient records
• Handle billing, coding, and insurance documentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
• Provide patient education and follow-up instructions

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in medical assisting.
• Experience with EPIC and electronic health records.
• Strong patient care skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience.
• Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is preferred or must have Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited college or university
• Must have EPIC experience

Work Environment

The work schedule includes Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Most have reliable transportation and be willing to float to other clinic sites as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
