Job Description
As a Certification Engineer, you will provide engineering and technical support in the evaluation and testing of existing and emerging technologies, systems, and capabilities. You will be responsible for testing and certifying electrical equipment to support FAA TSO, STC, and PMA activities. This role requires managing the entire testing process from project start to finish. Success in this position depends on your ability to review technical data and forms to ensure compliance with requirements, while providing top-notch customer service. You will contribute to our reputation as a premier provider of instrument, avionics, and aircraft power solutions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and test existing and emerging technologies, systems, and capabilities.
- Test and certify electrical equipment to support FAA TSO, STC, and PMA activities.
- Manage the entire testing process from project start to finish.
- Review technical data and forms to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing and certifying electrical equipment.
- Direct experience with industry, regulatory, and/or military standards/specifications.
- Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, DVMs, data acquisition, and other electrical test equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving, critical thinking, and prioritizing skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity/experience with DO-160, DO-311A, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F, and FAA TSO.
Work Environment
You will work in a team environment consisting of 10-14 people, dressed in business casual attire, within a newly established facility. The role offers opportunities for career growth and bonus incentives.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
