Job Title: Calibration Engineer
Location: Onsite in Jupiter, FL
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Calibration Engineer to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive calibration program. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of our measurement systems and equipment in a regulated aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage a company-wide calibration program aligned with industry standards.
- Utilize IndySoft to schedule, track, and document calibration activities.
- Perform and oversee calibrations, verifications, and certifications of measurement and test equipment (M&TE).
- Develop and maintain calibration procedures, work instructions, and documentation to support audits and compliance.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Operations to ensure calibration requirements are met across all departments.
- Lead internal audits and support external audits related to calibration.
- Train and mentor technicians and staff on calibration best practices and software usage.
- Analyze calibration data and trends to improve processes and reduce risk.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metrology, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in calibration engineering, preferably in aerospace or other regulated industries.
- Proficiency with IndySoft calibration management software.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements specifically with ISO 17025
- Excellent technical writing skills for documentation and procedure development.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and uncertainty calculations.
- Certification in metrology or calibration (e.g., ASQ CCT) is a plus.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role with time spent on the manufacturing floor and in office space. Calibration and Metrology have their own dedicated lab equipped for precision work.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $57.69/hr.
