Job Description
The CAD Technician will support the engineering team by producing high-quality technical drawings for a variety of structural and architectural projects. Responsibilities include drafting construction documents, managing multiple projects, applying Florida Building Code standards, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance. The role involves working on residential renovations, remodels, and structural alterations, with a focus on delivering consistent, buildable documentation.
Responsibilities
- Draft construction documents for structural and architectural projects.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring compliance with Florida Building Code standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance of technical drawings.
- Work on residential renovations, remodels, and structural alterations.
- Deliver consistent and buildable documentation.
- 5–8 years of experience in construction document development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of structural elements and connections.
- Experience with permitting and building departments.
- Experience with Revit, BIM, SketchUp.
- Familiarity with agency comment resolution for permit approval.
- Drafting degree preferred but not required.
The position is office-based and full-time, located in Royal Palm Beach, FL. You will report to the Director of Operations and Quality Assurance, working in a collaborative team setting where project ownership is encouraged. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $64480.00/yr.
