Job Description
We are seeking a talented CAD Designer to focus on specialty metal fabrications and custom product designs. This role offers hands-on experience in prototyping, process experimentation, and close collaboration with skilled engineers. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and production teams to develop creative and efficient product designs.
- Create detailed CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks for customer presentations and production support.
- Assist in estimating manufacturing costs to support quoting.
- Participate in hands-on prototyping and process improvement on the shop floor.
- Use ERP systems to create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials and Methods of Manufacturing.
- Work closely with fabricators, production supervisors, and suppliers to resolve design challenges.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (must pass a skills test during the interview).
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or metalworking environment, or relevant internship experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for manufacturing.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with welding and fabrication processes.
- An interest in creative, hands-on problem solving.
- A desire to develop skills through mentorship and ongoing training.
Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.60 - $25.96/hr.
