Job Description

Join a leading global manufacturer and supplier of lighting products and safety systems for a variety of vehicles and industries, including agriculture, mining, forestry, construction, emergency/rescue, municipal, recreational, and military. As a CAD Designer/Drafter, you will play a crucial role in updating and maintaining product catalogs using cutting-edge design software.

Responsibilities

• Focus on the existing backlog of work while the full-time team handles new program launches.
• Work on existing drawing designs and make necessary edits to the product catalog.
• Utilize Creo 7 for design work, with a transition to Creo 10 anticipated.
• Collaborate with other designers/drafters, mechanical engineers, and internal teams.
• Attend design team meetings and adhere to project schedules.
• Engage in design communication with the internal model shop/team.
• Work independently while seeking assistance when needed.
• Use Windchill PLM software for managing digital product development data.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing product design role OR Bachelors/Associates of Engineering
• Proficiency in design and drafting using Creo or Solidworks software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• If No Degree, 3 years of Creo experience required.
• Experience with Windchill PLM software.
• Familiarity with Catia or NX software.
• Experience designing fixtures, particularly related to headlamps.

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position within an office/cubicle environment. The offices have a slightly older style but are comfortable. The role requires a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with minimal overtime. The team is easy-going and collaborative, fostering a supportive work atmosphere.

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, IN.

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr.
