CAD Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team, specializing in drafting boundary, topographic, and ALTA surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D. The primary focus will be on ALTA surveys, with additional responsibilities assisting the engineering team in tasks such as layers, grading, and pipe networks. The role involves processing and managing field data collected via GPS and total station equipment, coordinating with field crews, project managers, and engineers to ensure accurate data workflows.
Responsibilities
- Draft boundary, topographic, and ALTA surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Assist the engineering team with drafting tasks including layers, grading, and pipe networks.
- Process and manage field data collected via GPS and total station equipment.
- Coordinate with field crews, project managers, and engineers to ensure accurate data workflows.
- Conduct deed and map research to support boundary resolution.
- Maintain organized drawing files and contribute to drafting standards.
- Write metes and bounds descriptions.
- Assist in developing and refining CAD procedures and file management systems.
- Occasionally support field crews with data collection, if needed.
Essential Skills
- 3-6 years of experience working in the Land Surveying industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D software design.
- Experience in preparing Topographic, Boundary, and ALTA Surveys.
- Knowledge of boundary survey software and civil design.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Hillsborough, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $800000.00/yr.
