What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bridge Engineer position at Actalent?
Job Description
- Actively participating as a team member in the design of a wide range of bridge improvement projects across Ohio.
- Creating preliminary design/CAD files, quantities, specifications, and estimated construction costs.
- Applying critical thinking skills in the development, assessment, selection, and adjustment of established engineering methods and protocols.
- Occasional interaction with clients and/or sub-consultants concerning ongoing design endeavors.
- Potential need for periodic on-site construction observations and addressing Requests for Information during the construction phase.
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
- Two or more years working under an experienced Bridge Design Engineer (PE)
- Professional Engineer or Engineering Intern license in the State of Ohio
- Experience using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience using Structural Engineering Design Software
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Suite of office products

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.00 - $52.00/hr.
