Help Bring the Next Generation of Energy to Life

This role sits at the center of engineering, finance, and regulatory strategy—shaping high-impact infrastructure that supports the future of clean energy and grid reliability.
You will play a critical role in transforming complex ideas into executable, investment-ready projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Lead pre-construction planning and optimization for utility-scale BESS projects, balancing engineering design, financial modeling, procurement strategy, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate across highly matrixed teams to ensure priorities align with project schedules and key milestones
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to manage environmental, permitting, land acquisition, interconnection, and regulatory considerations
- Develop and refine project scope to enhance both technical performance and financial viability
- Support origination and development efforts, including participation in PPA and GIA negotiations
- Work closely with engineering, estimating, and procurement teams to build accurate project designs and financial models
- Analyze market data and industry trends to strengthen project assumptions and economic outcomes
- Present financial models and project strategies to leadership and guide projects through investment approval stages
- Lead sourcing, negotiation, and execution of contracts for engineering, geotechnical, survey, and EPC services
- Track project progress, identify risks, and drive mitigation strategies to maintain momentum
- Communicate effectively with executives, vendors, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders
- Ensure a seamless handoff to construction teams with a clear, executable plan for delivery
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5 years of project management experience in engineering, infrastructure, or construction environments
- Experience supporting renewable energy or energy storage projects is a strong plus
- Strong understanding of project economics, financial modeling, and risk management
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze and present complex data clearly
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electricity markets, renewable development, or battery storage projects
- PMP certification or Six Sigma experience
- Exposure to contract negotiation and vendor management
- Familiarity with regulatory and interconnection processes
Why This Role Stands Out
- Be at the forefront of the energy transition, working on large-scale battery storage projects
- Gain visibility with executive leadership and influence major investment decisions
