Job Description
We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter and Designer to join our team at our Phoenix, Arizona office. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic electrical engineering consulting and design firm with a rich history of 27 years. The position provides growth opportunities into electrical designing and engineering, encompassing a variety of projects such as potable and non-potable water facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, street and sports lighting, solar/PV systems, and commercial or industrial buildings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage AutoCAD drawings with proficiency in concepts such as viewports, rotation, and linking Excel spreadsheets.
- Utilize and manage title blocks, blocks/symbols manager, and layer manager.
- Create architectural, mechanical, civil, and electrical plan layouts.
- Perform backchecking and quality control to ensure precision.
- Plot and create PDFs while adhering to CAD etiquette.
- Ensure aesthetically pleasing drawing layout and organization, including text masking and centering note/leader arrows.
- Manage symbols and blocks efficiently.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, civil, and electrical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment
The role is predominantly office-based with a hybrid work schedule that offers flexibility around personal commitments. The team comprises four members on the engineering side and two on the construction side.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
