We are seeking a dedicated Associate Quality Control professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering and testing samples within the expected time frame, entering results into SAP, and storing retains as required. You will maintain complete, accurate, and legible test records in accordance with company policy and record-keeping procedures. Additionally, you will perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks for both the laboratory environment and testing equipment.

- Assist with minor laboratory equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Support customer pre-ship sample order requests by obtaining, packaging, and shipping samples.
- Prepare and ship samples for external laboratory testing.
- Perform testing and conduct analysis for special projects and nonconforming product investigations.
- Fill laboratory shift vacancies as needed.
- Assist with maintaining and updating laboratory procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, or related field (non-negotiable).
- Entry-level candidates and new graduates are welcome.
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with quality control, laboratory procedures, and GMP practices.
- Proficiency in chemistry, quality assurance, biology, titration, viscosity, pH, HPLC, and GCMS.
- Ability to work as part of a humble, team-oriented environment.
- Strong computer skills with word processing, database, and spreadsheet experience.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical analysis skills.
- Experience with laboratory bench practices and equipment management.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work for timely completion.

- Good attendance record.
- Experience with wet chemistry and instrumentation such as Bruker NIR and Variomax.
- Proficiency with general lab tasks such as pH measurement, moisture balance, analytical balances, pipettes, volumetric measurements, ovens, stir plates, and mixers.
This role is based at the North Kansas City site and involves performing analytical tests independently and accurately according to test procedures. The position also requires fulfilling customer sample order requests. Employees will receive paid training, including safety training during the first week. Training occurs from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, for the first two months. The shift is 12 hours and includes holidays, as the facility operates 24/7. Night shifts have two people working together. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as goggles, steel-toed boots, and gloves is required. When out on the plant floor, a helmet must be worn. The dress code prohibits jewelry except for a ring and watch. The work environment is supportive, with opportunities for career progression, quarterly team-building activities, and incentive meals.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
