Associate Lab Support Technician

This role is an onsite position located in Thousand Oaks with a schedule of 7 AM to 3:30 PM. The position is for a duration of six months and involves two separate roles: one as a backfill for someone currently on leave and another for supplemental support during a high workload and training period.

• Operate animal husbandry-related equipment, such as cage wash, autoclave, and laminar air flow cabinets.
• Routinely wash, autoclave, and prepare caging and equipment.
• Provide care and husbandry for laboratory animals, including performing cage change procedures.
• Conduct and report daily health observations, handling, and restraint of laboratory animals, notably rodents.
• Maintain and organize laboratory spaces using 5S lean management techniques to support research success.
• Provide supplies and support for investigators conducting scientific experiments.

• Experience in warehouse production, manufacturing, or other physically demanding roles.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and retain training quickly.
• Strong punctuality and consistent attendance.
• Ability to meet a 7:00 AM onsite start time without conflict from secondary jobs or outside obligations.
• Capability to work safely around cage wash equipment.

• Candidates must live within 25-30 miles of the site for reliable commute.

This is a full-time onsite position in a team-oriented, structured environment. The role requires physical capability to thrive in a hands-on, routine-driven cage wash environment. Candidates should be prepared to work in a warehouse-like setting and should be comfortable with early start times and a physically demanding workload.

This is a Contract position based out of Thousand Oaks, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
