Responsibilities
- Perform specific assignments designed to develop engineering knowledge and skills.
- Apply standard practices and techniques on specific tasks with limited exercise of engineering judgment required on work details.
- Perform QA QC on assigned tasks, reviewing, checking, and correcting errors before submitting to a supervisor.
- Receive close supervision on new aspects of assignments, with techniques and procedures selected by the supervisor for non-routine work.
- Stay abreast of new developments and methods affecting assigned engineering tasks by attending training workshops to expand knowledge in all areas of engineering.
- Perform other related duties as deemed necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college.
- Demonstrated competence in the understanding and application of mathematics and engineering principles and theory to projects.
- Competence in the operation of CADD, engineering, and office software.
- Basic knowledge in applying graphic standards, techniques, and principles to specific plans.
- Understanding of QA QC processes and their application to projects.
- Preference for candidates who have completed the E.I.T. examination.
- Experience in civil engineering, design, land development, and grading.
