Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Project Monitor to join our environmental team. In this role, you will manage a range of responsibilities including environmental investigations, regulatory compliance, asbestos and lead-based paint inspections, and remediation oversight. The position requires fieldwork across active abatement projects, performing XRF testing, collecting and recording data, and contributing to technical reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental site investigations and assessments.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Perform asbestos and lead-based paint inspections; oversee remediation and abatement projects.
- Monitor abatement activities in the field in accordance with all regulatory standards.
- Conduct XRF testing and accurately record data.
- Provide technical support and produce detailed, high-quality reports.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or project monitoring.
- NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector Certification.
- Asbestos Project Monitor Certification.
- Air Monitoring experience.
- Air Sampling Technician Certification.
- OSHA 40-Hour Certification (Hazwoper).
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 40-Hour Certification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in environmental remediation and technical report writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
