Job Title: Architectural Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a creative and ambitious Architectural Designer with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and functional designs for different types of buildings, including residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional structures.
• Conduct site analysis to understand environmental, zoning, and contextual constraints.
• Create preliminary sketches and 3D models to visualize design concepts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine design ideas based on feedback.
• Ensure designs comply with local building codes and regulations.
• Generate creative and detailed design concepts that meet client requirements and enhance the project's aesthetic and functional qualities.
• Brainstorm and develop multiple design concepts for client review.
• Produce detailed drawings and specifications for selected design concepts.
• Integrate sustainable design principles and innovative technologies.
• Coordinate with engineers and other professionals to ensure feasibility and practicality of designs.
• Provide marketing support as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in Revit or AutoCAD
• Experience designing commercial buildings
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
• Experience with construction documents

Work Environment

The office is located just outside of downtown Grand Rapids on the North Side. It features an open concept design, encouraging free communication and collaboration among team members.

The dynamic work environment includes a diverse portfolio of projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.06 - $38.87/hr.
