What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Structural Designer position at Actalent?
Description:
• Support cross functional teams of internal and external stakeholders including suppliers in resolution of technical engineering issues for aircraft systems and structures
• Provide integrated engineered solutions to resolve design or manufacturing issues impacting final line production
• Perform technical engineering analysis of existing systems and structural designs in order to make recommendations for improvements via RFC/PCR
• Provide technical engineering focused guidance to support functions such as Quality, Methods, and Production
• Prepare relative engineering documentation required for on aircraft testing to support problem solving containment, root cause, and validation (e.g. RFT, TDS, RSI etc.)
• Create/enable a positive and collaborative team environment with internal and external stakeholders and take concrete steps/actions to keep high level of engagement within the team
• Support technical engineering meetings/review internationally
• Develop good working relationships with various departments within BA
Skills & Qualifications:
Structural design
-Experience with control surface install/rigging- that's what this person supports most of the time when he is called to the line- slats, flats, spoliers, airlons-anything associated to the wing-
-Experience on new clean sheet aircraft design and development products- concept through to cert- as opposed to mods or alternating aircraft
-Minimum of 8 years of experience- primary secondar structures and systems install
-Catia V5/Enovia-
