Job Description

Join a dynamic RD organization that leads the way in designing, discovering, and developing innovative solutions that benefit farmers and consumers in environmentally friendly ways. As a Brassica Biofuels System Agronomist, you will play a vital role in developing new cropping systems, focusing on water-limited and managed irrigation environments in the western US.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze multi-crop systems-level agronomic trials.
• Develop agronomic recommendations based on research findings.
• Collaborate on research projects with a team of scientists.
• Build and maintain relationships with farmers and agronomists.
• Engage in research collaborations and business partnerships.

Essential Skills

• PhD in agronomy, plant sciences, or MS with 5 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge and in-field experience with multi-crop systems.
• Experience with field research processes, data analysis, and utilization.
• Strong organizational skills for planning and coordinating experiments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for developing strong working relationships.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Research experience with brassica crops and renewable fuels is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and self-directed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garden City, KS.

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $43.00/hr.
