Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift [2-10pm]
Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for interpreting manufacturing drawings and performing quality inspections using various gages and inspection tools. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Inspection, Gage Calibration, or as a Quality Technician. You will be expected to update inspection reports and conduct inspections, both visual and using measuring tools. Additionally, the role involves interpreting engineering drawings, understanding measurements, and reading drawing notes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct incoming inspections and measure parts according to blueprints.
- Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gages.
- Document non-conformities and update inspection reports.
- Create and perform First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), if required.
- Assist with PPAPs, and draft PFMEA & Control Plans, as needed.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in quality inspection and control.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Experience with inspection tools like micrometers, calipers, and gages.
- Strong quality documentation skills.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
