Electrical Engineer
Job Description
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical designs for specialized equipment. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of equipment, business, and customer requirements that drive the design of technical solutions. The engineer will participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, equipment construction, and installation support of designed equipment. Collaboration with other engineering staff for programming and site startup support is also essential.
Responsibilities
Design and conduct research to evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications.
Assist field engineers with the installation of designed systems and verify the proper build of these systems.
Develop electrical products that conform to standards and customer requirements; research and test manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
Prepare technical drawings and specifications for electrical control panels.
Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembly of electrical components.
Assure product quality by designing electrical testing methods and testing finished products and system capabilities to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational, safety, or environmental standards.
Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Resolve required changes and support solutions to complete designed equipment during installation.
Maintain product database by writing computer programs.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
5+ years of electrical engineering experience within a material handling or manufacturing/distribution environment.
Experience with electrical engineering of equipment/machines.
AutoCAD experience with an understanding of concepts of drawings and symbols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with mobile robots.
Experience with real-time supply chain solutions.
Experience in e-commerce.
Experience with warehouse optimization.
Work Environment
This position will be based out of the office in Blue Ash, OH, working five days a week. The new office is located at 10200 Alliance Rd., Suite 200, Cincinnati, OH. The company is a leading provider of material handling solutions within the automation space, known for its stability and integration of new technologies in projects. It offers a great opportunity to work in a growing company without the fluctuations of project-based work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $52.00/hr.
