Job Description
The ACT Renewables Control Center (The ARCC) is our organization's central nervous system and is responsible for back office technical support, remote operations, and process administration. The ARCC Operations Associate will provide critical administrative support functions within the Control Center including taking a wide range of incoming calls, directing incoming calls to appropriate parties, responding to emails, and provide general support to the ARCC Operations Engineers. This is an excellent entry level position for someone interested in renewable energy or control center operations.
Responsibilities
- Answer in bound phone calls from ACT technicians and 3rd parties seeking to access solar facilities.
- Route phone calls as appropriate within the ARCC
- Update personnel trackers and operations logs used to track personnel on site
- Send email updates to clients regarding in progress dispatches by ACT personnel
- Provide administrative support to on shift ARCC Operations personnel
- Perform and complete routine checklists for system checks
- Provide professional, accurate, and clear communication
Qualification Requirements
- High School graduation required, associate degree preferred
- Working knowledge call center functions and routing calls
- Ability to field large volume of incoming calls (50 per day)
- Excellent written/oral communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Experience working with a computerized maintenance management and scheduling system
- Employees must be able to maintain unescorted access to NERC regulated facilities including completion of a background check
