MISSION OF THE POSITION
The Receiving Associate is responsible for ensuring all materials are received on a daily basis and will notify the purchasing department of any missing or over-shipped items. The Receiving Associate will assist the warehouse team with unloading, auditing, and storing all products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Utilize receiver and packing slips when receiving material.
- Place all material in the correct locations.
- Create notes on bill of lading on any damaged shipments.
- Notify the supervisor of any missing or over shipped items when completing receiving po# within question.
- Stock shelves and rotate material for oldest to the newest daily.
- Help keep the warehouse clean daily.
- Answer and respond to customer inquiries, requirements, and needs.
- Receive and unload merchandise from trucks and ships.
- Verify documents and reports in accordance with the unloaded merchandise.
- Perform and execute functions relating to merchandise preparation, staging and outbound shipments.
- Maintain and manage stockroom records, reports, and inventories.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform additional duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES
No certifications and/or licenses applicable
EXPERIENCE
Up to 2 years of related experience and/or training in receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working in a warehouse setting preferred
