Maintenance Worker

Position Summary

Performs routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance and repair procedures throughout the warehouse facility to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Perform minor and general repairs on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure
• Conduct preventative maintenance on facility and warehouse equipment according to scheduled programs
• Inspect equipment (e.g., belts, fluid levels, filters) and repair or replace worn or broken components
• Repair doors, locks, windows, and other building fixtures; install items such as window blinds as needed
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and maintain accurate records of all work performed
• Operate and monitor computerized systems that control mechanical equipment and utilities, as applicable
• Perform basic painting and facility upkeep as needed
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems, including lighting, control circuits, and minor electrical components; escalate complex repairs as needed
• Assist with installation and maintenance of network cabling (Cat5e/Cat6), as required
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational downtime
• Perform general exterior and custodial duties, including sweeping dock areas and maintaining loading zones
• Assist in sourcing and ordering maintenance supplies and repair parts; obtain quotes when necessary
• Travel between warehouse locations as needed
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
• Adhere to attendance and punctuality standards, including scheduled breaks and meal periods
• Work overtime as required based on business needs
• Maintain a strong work ethic and collaborate effectively with team members
• Follow quality service standards and comply with all operational guidelines
• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance

Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair
• Basic understanding of safety practices and proper use of hand tools
• Ability to read and write effectively
• Strong communication, listening, and reasoning skills
• Ability to think independently and solve problems
• Self-starter with the ability to learn new tasks quickly and accurately
• Willingness to perform a wide range of duties in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Reliable with strong attendance and dependability
