What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Driver III position at ACT FULFILLMENT INC?
Summary:
Operate powered industrial forklift sit-down, cherry picker, and reach to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, loading docks, and containers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the warehouse
• Loading and unloading pallets
• Pull, scan orders (cartons)
• Accurate loading and unloading pallets into the racks
• Maintain the racks clean and organized
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the warehouse
• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
• Checking loads are secure • Stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the forklift battery and lubricating equipment
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines
• Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Must follow safety procedures always
• Wear seat belt, honk your horn in between aisles, and no speeding
• Exercise care of equipment, completes the forklift truck pre-use inspection sheet daily at the start of the shift. Returns completed sheets to his supervisor and reports all damages to his supervisor.
Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Six months of warehouse forklift experience.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Able to complete task assigned on a timely matter
• Good communication
• Reliable
• Must work OT when required
• Basic Math • Read and write
