Position Summary
This position is responsible for punching and fabricating custom enclosers, panels and wall plates for our audio, logo panels and power distribution products.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pull prioritized orders located in shop/setup area from order shelf.
- Read technical drawing or review physical sample, identifying dimensions, layout, surface finishing, and labeling.
- Tool metalwork according to drawing or layout.
- Set up punches and dies correctly.
- Punch, sand and form in preparation for powder coating, if needed.
- Participate in training to learn all facets of the job through various resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- None.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), with previous on-the-job/hands-on training experience preferred.
- Previous fabrication experience a plus.
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
- Good reading and writing skills, with the desire to learn facets of the job.
- Ability to work with small power tools and hand tools.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Frequently required to stand.
- Frequently required to walk.
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; loud.
- The employee must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
