ACT Dyslexia Solutions is a growing, mission-driven company dedicated to helping struggling readers in grades K–12. We provide comprehensive evaluations, consultation, and structured literacy instruction grounded in the science of reading. Our work focuses on identifying reading difficulties, including dyslexia, and delivering targeted, effective support for students, families, and schools.
We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations. This position will begin at approximately 10 hours per week, with room to grow and additional hours potentially available as the practice expands. The ideal schedule is 2 hours per day, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The time of day is flexible but must remain consistent once established.

Duties
The Administrative Assistant will support ACT Dyslexia Solutions with a variety of office, communication, and organizational tasks, including:
- Managing and organizing digital files, documents, forms, and records
- Assisting with scheduling, calendar coordination, and appointment reminders
- Preparing, formatting, and editing documents, spreadsheets, forms, and presentations
- Maintaining organized systems within Google Drive and shared digital workspaces
- Assisting with data entry, tracking sheets, and office documentation
- Using platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Adobe
- Completing other administrative tasks that support the smooth operation of the office
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
- Experience with Google Suite, including Drive, Classroom, Slides, Sheets, and Forms
- Experience using Adobe
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Ability to work a consistent weekly schedule
- Willingness to undergo a background check
Preferred:
- Some college coursework or college degree
- Experience in an educational, school, tutoring, or office setting
- Knowledge of teaching, literacy, dyslexia, or special education
- Comfort learning new technology systems
- A positive, flexible, problem-solving attitude
Hours: 10 hours per week to start
Schedule: 2 hours per day, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM
Growth Potential: Additional hours may become available as needed and as the position and company grow.
Starting Pay: Based on previous experience and skills
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
