Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is searching for a Structural Engineer PE for our client, a professional engineering and architectural firm delivering full-service design solutions.This Structural Engineer role will lead design efforts across all project phases, ensuring constructable and high-quality solutions. Must have a PE License. This full-time position is located in Kalispell, MT.
Responsibilities:
- Independently lead structural design staff throughout the project design and construction phases.
- Identify and solve problems with a goal to provide appropriate and constructable solutions.
- Work in a multi-discipline team environment to manage the development, design, and implementation of structural concepts, systems, drawings, and specifications.
- Coordinate with external suppliers, internal design teams, and manufacturers.
- Ensure structural designs meet company Quality standards.
- Use various software packages to calculate gravity, lateral, and foundation loads.
- Respond to contractors during the construction.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience post-graduation from an accredited University.
- Structural Professional Engineer (PE) License. (SE designation a plus, but not required)
- Relevant design experience with building structural systems using wood, steel, concrete, and masonry.
- A strong understanding of building codes and value engineering practices.
- Organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time.
- Self-starter who can work independently and be part of a team.
- Outstanding organization, attentiveness to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Work independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff.
- Ability to prioritize strategically and demonstrate flexibility to achieve long-range goals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, Autodesk Revit, and industry standard structural design software. (Preferably – Enercalc, RISA, Simpson, or Woodworks)
