Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Legal Records Coordinator position will coordinate public records requests, assist with document collection and review, and provide backup for the Public Records Officer and paralegal. This role will also include budget assistance, garnishment support, and general legal department office duties, with a focus on document management and training. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay rate: $23.20 – $24.82

Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the public records officer and legal services supervisor, coordinate public records request collections and responses for the Agency.
- Under the direction of the legal services supervisor, serve as backup to the public records officer for the agency.
- Assist the paralegal and attorneys with collection, review, and production of documents for public records requests.
- Assist in management of legal services department budget.
- Help the paralegal review and organize invoices and contract budgets.
- Assist with the garnishment reviews and responses and under the direction of the legal services supervisor, provide backup for the paralegal for garnishment reviews.
- Provide general office support to the legal services department. This work could include but is not limited to the following:
- Attend meetings, draft documents, filing, preparing documents for DocuSign, filling out forms, making appointments, scanning, making telephone calls, review documents, locating records, draft correspondence.
- Assist with organization and management of documents both electronic and hard copy.
- Take a public records 101 course and attend public records training webinars with the public records officer.
- All are to be done with a high level of accuracy while also maintaining strict confidentiality and data integrity.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college in a technical field is preferred
- At least 1 year of experience working in an office environment
- At least 1 year of experience working with Microsoft Office 365 in a business setting
- Ability to obtain and retain unescorted access authorization
- Ability to work in an environment with interruptions
