The Travel Technician will be responsible for the overall installation of the compartments or electrical components within the equipment enclosures/switchgears out in the field.
Responsibilities And Duties
Responsible for assembly, installation, wiring and testing of electrical equipment
Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specifications
Read blueprints to complete the job
Conduit bending, hanging and pulling wire
Installing light fixtures and switches
Good working knowledge of power tools
Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrates good listening skills
Obey the safety standards of ACS worksite as well as follow local, state, and federal regulations; in all states
Responsible for any other tasks that may arise; at any time
Qualifications And Skills
Must have 1-3 years of experience on commercial or industrial electrical projects
Must be willing to travel out of state for up to four weeks at a time
Must have mechanical ability
Knowledge of NFPA/NEC Standards
Knowledge of low voltage (less than 600 AC/DC)
Knowledge of testing devices
Must have experience running, bending and fabricating conduit
Installation of lighting and power devices
Must have own tools
Must be able to read tape measure
Must be able to read blue prints, schematics, diagrams or technical orders
Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment
Biweekly pay via direct deposit
