What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal - San Diego (Hybrid) position at ACS Law PC?
ACS Law PC is a growing plaintiff-side employment and personal injury law firm based in Carlsbad, California. As our firm continues to expand, we are seeking a full-time hybrid Litigation Paralegal with strong litigation experience to join our team.

- Draft, review, and assist with filing litigation documents in California state and federal courts
- Support attorneys with all phases of litigation, including case development, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Prepare and organize pleadings, correspondence, discovery, exhibits, and case files
- Assist with drafting and reviewing complaints, demand letters, settlement agreements, and other case-related documents
- Maintain and organize client files, medical records, employment records, and evidence using the firm’s case management system
- Track court deadlines and assist with calendaring to ensure timely filings and case management
- Conduct legal and factual research to support litigation strategy and case development
- Communicate with clients regarding case updates, documentation needs, and scheduling
- Conduct preliminary client interviews and fact-gathering, when requested
- Assist with deposition preparation, mediation preparation, and trial preparation
- Provide Spanish-language support, translation, and interpretation for clients when needed
- Prior litigation paralegal experience required
- Experience in California state and federal courts required
- Experience with plaintiff-side employment law and/or personal injury matters strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures, deadlines, and court filings
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in an active caseload
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and professionalism
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience with Clio or other legal case management software is a plus
- Associate’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred
- Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion

- Compensation: Competitive compensation package based on experience, including eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
