- Ability to augment existing teams' skill sets across other cloud platforms as needed.
- Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud interoperability and on-premises-to-cloud integrations.
- Develop scalable, resilient, cost-efficient, and secure cloud architectures aligned with organizational goals and cybersecurity policies.
- Evaluate applications for cloud readiness and create detailed cloud migration strategies and roadmaps.
- Produce architectural documentation, including Microsoft Visio diagrams, cloud governance models, technical standards, and implementation playbooks.
- Design and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies that meet regulatory requirements and defined RTO/RPO objectives.
Strong understanding of:
- Azure Compute Services (Virtual Machines, Scale Sets, Batch)
- Azure Storage (Storage Accounts, Blob Storage, File Storage, Tables, Queues, Data Lake)
- Azure Data Analytics Platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Event Hubs)
- Azure Database Services (Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, Hyperscale, Cosmos DB)
- Serverless Services (Azure Functions, Web Apps, App Services, App Service Environment, Logic Apps)
- Containerization technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and OpenShift
- Provision infrastructure using Terraform, Azure ARM templates, or Pulumi.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Automate configuration management using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, RBAC, WAF, NSG, ASG, Service Principals, Managed Identities, Azure Advisor, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, encryption, and monitoring.
- Apply Zero Trust architecture principles and cloud security frameworks such as CIS, NIST, and ISO 27001.
- Utilize SIEM platforms such as Splunk and Chronicle Security for security monitoring and analysis.
- Optimize cloud environments using Azure Advisor, Cost and Billing Management, and FinOps best practices.
- Monitor performance and availability using Azure Monitor, Azure Resource Health, and SolarWinds.
- Implement auto-scaling, caching, and load-balancing strategies for cloud workloads.
- Design and manage Azure virtual networks, Hub-and-Spoke architecture, VNet Peering, Application Gateway, Load Balancers, Traffic Manager, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and hybrid networking.
- Configure and optimize Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) including Azure Front Door, Cloudflare, and Akamai for low-latency applications.
- Debug and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, and cloud service-related issues.
- Utilize Azure Monitor and Network Watcher for monitoring, logging, tracing, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Network, Server, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Finance, and Procurement teams.
- Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Participate in cloud strategy planning, technical discussions, and architecture decision-making processes.
