Job Title: Yard Foreman, Millington, TN
Reports to: Warehouse Manager, TN
Primary Purpose:
Under minimal direction, ensure that orders are shipped in a timely and efficient manner according to company standards by partnering with the Warehouse Manager and providing guidance and direction to laborers as well as assisting with a hands-on approach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load and unload equipment off trailers and containers with a forklift
- Inspect equipment for damages and report findings accordingly
- Review and recommend methods to improve area operations, efficiency, and service to main office and external clients
- Understand all safety procedures and ensure safe work practices are followed to maintain a safe work environment
- Assist with coordinating warehouse action plans, schedules and target dates for shipment, and inventory commitments
- Responsible for pulling and packing orders in a safe and timely manner
- Maintenance of inventory, which includes power washing and touchup of equipment.
- Maintain accurate and timely inventory records.
- Participates in inventory management and counting at required.
- Assist with coordinating domestic trucking with warehouse and clients and provide evaluation of trucking firms
- Maintain machinery operator safety training certificates on a regular basis
- Assist in tracking and scheduling all planned maintenance on equipment
- Understand and adhere to all Acrow’s policies and applicable laws
- Travel to other Acrow Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
- Perform other duties as required
Skills and Knowledge:

- Certified forklift operator
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of organizing customer project tracking and multiple tasks
- Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous, and helpful)
- Excellent attention to detail

- Able to work with a diverse group of people
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to easily learn and navigate software
- Valid driver’s license
Minimum Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED and 4 to 6 years of experience in warehouse distribution or material supply and distribution center such as steel warehouse, lumber yard or masonry supply center or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience
Working Conditions:
- Work is typically performed in a warehouse and yard environment which requires proper safety precautions. Work requires some physical effort in the handling of materials, boxes, or equipment. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Regular work hours are planned as 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Additional hours may be required from time to time.
- All work-related safety gear will be provided by the company
