Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including material staging and site cleanup
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to support various construction activities
- Support carpentry tasks such as framing, door hanging, trim carpentry, and cabinetry installation
- Participate in concrete forming, finishing, masonry, and stucco applications to ensure quality craftsmanship
- Aid in roofing installation, roofing repairs, and general exterior work including hardscape and glass installation
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute tasks like drywall installation, caulking, and tile laying
- Conduct basic construction inspections to ensure safety standards are met and work aligns with project specifications
- Collaborate with team members on demolition, restoration projects, and remodeling efforts while adhering to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related roles is highly preferred
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Knowledge of various trades including plumbing, electrical systems, welding, flooring installation, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of construction safety procedures and site management practices
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills and techniques
