About the Role
ACRONYM is seeking a highly creative and intellectually curious Concept & Visual Deveopment Intern - Art Direction to join our Concept & Strategy Design team. Reporting directly to the Art Director, this role will support the development of compelling brand narratives, experiential concepts, and client-facing creative presentations across integrated campaigns and live experiences.
This internship is designed for emerging creatives who are passionate about culture, storytelling, design, and innovation. The ideal candidate brings a strong visual sensibility, strategic mindset, and enthusiasm for transforming insights into impactful creative ideas.
What You'll Do
- Support concept development through visual research, trend analysis, and creative exploration.
- Build mood boards, inspiration libraries, and presentation materials that articulate strategic and creative narratives.
- Assist in designing client-facing pitch decks, concept presentations, and supporting visual assets.
- Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions and creative workshops.
- Research emerging technologies, cultural movements, and industry trends to inform creative development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help bring concepts from ideation through presentation.
Required Skills
- Interest in experiential marketing, brand strategy, and emerging technologies
- Passionate about shaping meaningful brand experiences through creativity and innovation
- Thoughtful collaborator who thrives in a creative environment
- Naturally curious, resourceful, and eager to learn
- A strong background in graphic design, 2D design, and/or visual development
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator
- Advanced proficiency in Google Slides and presentation design
- Strong understanding of visual communication, typography, composition, and storytelling
- Familiarity with Figma and its ecosystem of tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Moderate to advanced experience with Figma
- Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools, including but not limited to, ChatGPT, Figma AI, Fuser, Claude, Adobe Express and Photoshop AI integrations
- Experience developing client pitch decks and presentation narratives
- Strong aesthetic judgment and attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Art Director and collaborates closely with the Concept & Strategy Creative team in support of client engagements, new business opportunities, and creative innovation initiatives.

Position Details

- Hourly Rate: $21.00 Hourly
- Location: Office in Brooklyn, NY (Industry City)
- Duration: 9-12 weeks (June 22nd to August 31st)
- Onsite Requirements: Work is hybrid
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (Remote)
- 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (32 to 40 hours weekly)
- In-office Days: Thursdays weekly
