Network Engineer

Position Title: Network Engineering

Location: Lexington, MA USA 02421

Duration: 3 years Contract on W2 (Possible Extension)

Clearance:

• Candidates should have an active clearance (secret/top secret, etc.) in order to be considered for this position due to the nature of the work being done.

Job Description:

Roles and responsibilities include but not limited to:

•Contribute to a team responsible for the operations of the Laboratory's enterprise classified networks.

•Assist in the day-to-day role of supporting the network infrastructure which will include configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls and other networking devices within the classified environment.

•Has a basic understanding of troubleshooting and analytical skills to assist with the diagnosis and resolution of network issues

•Is familiar with DoD STIGs and how to evaluate network hardware for STIG compliance.

Must Have:

•Configuration and Management of Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto and General Dynamics Type 1 Encryptors

•Network Architecture

•Networking Applications and Protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, DHCP, SSH, FTP, HTTP/S, BGP and OSPF.

•Networking experience (routers/switches/firewalls/servers)

•Network Systems Analysis

•Optimization of Distribution Networks

Nice to Have:

•DoD STIGs

•Experience with automation tools (e.g. Ansible)
