Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team on 1st shift. This position
reports directly to the Quality Supervisor and plays a key role in keeping our manufacturing
process on track. Day-to-day, you’ll be operating NDT equipment, inspecting welds under a
microscope, using calipers and other precision tools, and performing visual inspections before
and after E-coat. You’ll work closely with both production and engineering to make sure parts
meet spec and any issues get flagged and addressed quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- NDT Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment as needed to certify inprocess
production.
- Weld & Visual Inspection: Inspect welds with a microscope and perform visual
inspections of parts before and after E-coat using weld maps.
- Data Reporting: Document non-conformances (NCRs), and communicate findings to
production and engineering teams.
- Documentation: Complete and submit required quality documentation accurately and
on time.
- Other Duties: Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred;
Engineering degree a plus
Experience & Technical Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in a precision manufacturing environment (automotive industry
preferred)
- Experience using quality inspection tools and measurement equipment (micrometers,
calipers, etc.)
- Comfortable with math — algebra, geometry, and trig for calculating tolerances and
dimensions
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
