Job Summary
Acrisure is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support billing, payment processing, and customer account activities within a fast-paced insurance environment. This role plays an important part in ensuring accurate payment processing, maintaining account records, and providing high-quality customer service to insureds and agents.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail oriented, and interested in building experience within accounting, billing, or insurance operations. Training will be provided for the right candidate. This would be onsite 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls from insureds and agents regarding billing questions, payments, account information, and coverage related inquiries
- Process insured payments and maintain accurate account records
- Create and prepare deposits for bank processing
- Monitor receivables and communicate with insureds regarding past due balances
- Coordinate account escalations and collection activities when necessary
- Process refunds in accordance with company procedures and timelines
- Support vendor payable processing activities
- Print and process checks related to claims, refunds, commissions, and other payments
- Maintain accurate documentation and support additional accounting and administrative projects as assigned
- Provide professional and timely customer service across all interactions
Requirements
- Strong customer service and telephone communication skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to think critically and solve problems efficiently
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous office, billing, customer service, or administrative experience beneficial
Education and Licenses
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Additional coursework in accounting, finance, or business beneficial
