Job Description We are seeking a Clinical Scheduling Coordinator RN to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to optimize and coordinate the surgery department schedule, ensuring we best serve our patients, provider, and community. Why Join Us? Serves as an agent to improve customer service and provide a layer of safety throughout the scheduling process. Delegates tasks appropriately, responsible for training of new employees in this area once full orientation process is complete. Responsible for customer service and safety in scheduling for hospital patients at ACH and ACRH. Assesses, develops a scheduling plan, reviews that plan with the multidisciplinary team and implements the plan for scheduling, ensuring the patient is scheduled at the correct location and the correct day, time and provider. Participates regularly in the evaluation of the scheduling process to ensure the patient is placed in the safest environment possible. Evaluates resources needed to safely perform the designated procedure requiring advanced clinical knowledge, critical thinking and communication skills. Perform pre-anesthesia phone calls to review health history with patients, place necessary orders, and answer questions.
