DEVELOPMENT & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Reports to: Executive Director
Classification: Part-time
POSITION SUMMARY
The Development & Communications Manager is responsible for supporting and advancing fundraising, communications, and community engagement efforts for Acres of Hope and The ReNew Stores. This role focuses on donor relations, fundraising support, social media and communications, and coordinating speaking engagements and events.
Rather than owning all development strategy, this position works closely with the Executive Director to implement fundraising initiatives, strengthen donor relationships, expand community visibility, and share the impact of the organization’s mission. This role is designed to meet current organizational needs with the potentiol for future growth into a Development Director position as capacity and funding expand.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
- Support the development and implementation of fundraising initiatives, including donor campaigns, events, and appeals
- Assist with donor cultivation, stewardship, and retention efforts
- Support outreach to individual donors, businesses, churches, foundations, and community partners
- Assist with recurring donations, major gifts support, and gifts-in-kind procurement
- Coordinate donor communications including acknowledgements, updates, and newsletters
Communications & Marketing
- Manage and maintain social media platforms and content calendar for Acres of Hope and The ReNew Stores
- Assist with creation of marketing and donor messaging for newsletters, direct mail, website content, social media, and events
- Support storytelling efforts that highlight program impact and transformation
- Collaborate with leadership on branding, messaging, and public-facing communications
- Assist with website updates and coordination of communication tools as needed
Events, Speaking & Community Outreach
- Coordinate speaking engagements, presentations, and outreach opportunities
- Support planning and execution of donor and community events
- Network with local businesses, churches, community organizations, and partners to build relationships and visibility
- Support volunteer engagement related to events, communications, and development activities
ReNew Store Collaboration
- Collaborate with ReNew Store leadership on branding, marketing, social media, and community awareness
- Support alignment of messaging between Acres of Hope and The ReNew Stores

Details
$27–$32 per hour
Approximately 20–25 hours per week
Schedule is flexible, some nights or weekends will be required
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
